Get Lobstr — must-do before tokens
You cannot receive VBI / VBIT until you have a wallet, a safe backup, a little XLM, and a trustline for that token’s issuer. Do this once.
Live on Stellar Public. After Lobstr + XLM + trustlines, you can receive or buy VBI / VBIT.
Step 1 — Get Lobstr
- Install Lobstr from the official store / lobstr.co (phone or desktop).
- Create a new wallet (or restore only from your written backup).
- Network: Public (main Stellar network) for View Buy It tokens.
Step 2 — Save your recovery (MUST-DO)
Your recovery phrase / passphrase / secret key is the wallet. Lose it = lose access. Share it = someone else owns your funds.
Do
- Write the recovery phrase on paper (or two papers in two safe places).
- Check the spelling twice before you leave the backup screen.
- Store offline — not in email, not in cloud notes, not in Telegram, not in chat with support.
- Optional later: elevate to D’CENT hardware (shop on viewbuyit.com).
Never
- Paste seed / secret / passphrase into any website form, Telegram “admin”, Discord, or AI chat.
- Screenshot the phrase into camera roll / cloud sync.
- Send it to View Buy It, Light Tender, or MultiFiDeX staff — we will never ask.
If anyone asks for your seed: stop — it is a scam.
Step 3 — Fund a little XLM
Stellar needs a small XLM balance for account reserve + fees + each trustline. Buy/receive a small amount of XLM into Lobstr (enough for fees; you keep control).
